Tom has been a life long Hobart resident, married to his wife of 50 years, Rosemarie, with four children: Lisa, Amy, Laura, and Tom.  After Hobart High School, he attended Purdue University and the University of Miami, obtaining a BS in Engineering.

After serving in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves from 1960 to 1967, he began his career as a Structural Design Engineer, Production Manager, and Manufacturing & Sales Manager.  He is a member of Kiwanis, St. Bridget Church, American Legion Post #54, and the Hobart Historical Preservation Commission.

Activities include the Hobart City Plan Commission, Board Member of the Hobart Chamber of Commerce, Member of the Hobart Public Board of Works, Purdue Master Gardener Program, President of the Board of Directors of the Maria Reiner Center.  Past activities include the Hobart City Council, Hobart City Board of Zoning Appeals, President and Board Member HIEDC, Board Member of the Hobart Community Foundation, Purdue CoOp Extension Advisory Board, Republican State Delegate.

Tom was the project coordinator for Hobart’s Senior Center, handling the research and development concept, activities, and best
use of space available.  He helped organize and create the first Summer Market in Hobart.  Tom's hobbies are woodworking,
gardening, reading, traveling, and community based volunteerism.
