Next Wednesday we will meet at Maple Lake County Park from 11:00-1:00 enjoy some trail walking, (wear walking shoes), viewing the lake (fishing too for Tim and others) and "Bring your own Picnic Lunch" to be enjoyed at picnic tables under the shelter. We will wear masks and practice social distancing when near others, so bring your chair, as well as camera, art supplies, etc. The weather looks promising now, but If it looks like like rain we can still meet under the shelter; if storms are lurking, stay home.
The park is north of Deep River County Park, on the same property, but north and closer to home.
My phone GPS shows directions to Deep River County Park when I tap in Maple Lake. so don't be confused.
From 61st and St Mary Hospital, take Lake Park Ave (Rt 51) south about 1/2 mile.
Turn East at the horse farm onto Ainsworth Road - before the RR Tracks
Travel East about another 1/2 mile. A Sign designates the Park on your left.
Turn North into the park and follow the road around until you see the Shelter and park your car.

Art Class will be meeting at the MRC and travel by carpool and caravan to the Center for Visual and Performing Arts at 1040 Ridge Road in Munster, Indiana 64321. 20 Miles, 1/2 hour on Ridge Road.
There we will see an exhibit in the Atrium Gallery entitled: RUSTIC NOTES, (old barns in various stages of disrepair) created by artist Erik Lubbers, of Lowell, Indiana. (no charge, but the gift shop will be open).
Erik taught art for 30 years in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and retired to the woodlands of Lowell, Indiana, where he discovered the old barns on country roads and captured their essence in pencil, and watercolors.
Because this exhibit is limited in size, we will then travel south on Calumet Avenue and explore the 6.5 acre Community Veterans Memorial at 9710 Calumet at Superior. (no charge) THIS IS A WALKING TOUR
This exhibit includes bronze and granite sculptures, and life-sized monuments of major military conflicts that shaped the 20th century of American history.
After which you may go on your own for lunch; various places along Calumet Avenue.
